In Remembrance of Tony Scerbo

It is with great sadness that we announce that Tony Scerbo passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013.   Tony was a veteran of World War II and Post 130’s chaplain.   In 2011, Tony was recognized with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Greater Falls Church Veterans Council.  In 1969, Tony’s efforts led to the renaming of the American Legion Memorial Bridge, formerly known as the Cabin John Bridge, which spans the Potomac River from Virginia to Maryland.

For those who wish to pay their respects, the viewing will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, September 20.  The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 21.  Both events will occur at the National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
